Mitolo Serpico Cabernet Sauvignon

  • REGION: McLaren Vale

    CELLARING: fifteen to twenty years

    ALCOHOL: 14.6%

  • Serpico was a famous New York police officer in the 70's who wasn't afraid to "work against the grain" and in doing so exposed the immerse depth of police corruption in the era.

With Mitolo Serpico we aim to step outside our peers and redefine the accepted style of Australian wine, following the traditional Italian techniques to make an Amarone style wine.

Brooding and alluring nose with notes of blackberry, plum and savoury herbal spices. Full bodied and mouthcoating, led by deep, dark fruit characteristics, with flavours of licorice, dark chocolate and fig. Multi layered and complex with a savoury finish framed by fine grained tannins.
