For me it has been a dream for many years to produce a wine, that has flavour, depth and complexity. Aimed not at the high end market but at the normal people who want to drink great wine. Well fast forward to 12 months ago and we started to get this wine made, package and off the ground. So today we have the first release of the Mr Bear label.
You get a clean purple colour which sparkles in the glass. On the nose you get the lifted fruit character of young cabernet plums, dark fruit and a hint of that loverly oak character coming through. The palate delivers what you smell on the nose, great rich fruit with dark fruits and come capsicum flavours. This is then followed up with firm supple tannins and a clean lingering finish. Even though this wine is a joy to drink now, it will reward those patient enough for the next 6-8 years. This wine is one of those wines that will suit loads of styles of food particularly Sichuan cuisine
