Mitchelton Airstrip blends the classic white Rhone varieties Marsanne, Rousanne and Viognier. Pale straw in colour with fleeting green hues it opens with a fusion of peach and apricot blossom aromatics ahead of complex oatmeal and nougat notes derived from barrel fermentation. Medium-bodied in weight, apricot and ripe pear delicately woven amidst a backdrop of savoury pistachio and spicy oak.
The wine is named after the source block on the estate which was once a landing area for light aircraft.
